We are guided by a more sustainable future.
As members of the UN Global Compact Portugal, we align our strategy with the United Nations 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This involves seeking continuous improvement solutions and adopting new tools for more efficient resource management.
Colquimica Sustainability Challenge
All members of the United Nations, including Portugal, Poland and the United States of America, have adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a plan for achieving a better future. Therefore, Colquimica Sustainability Challenge is a set of six visionary challenges that will create a net positive impact on the planet and society.
These six challenges are guiding our efforts to build a better, smarter, more sustainable future, according to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

We are committed to the ESG principles.
We assume our important role in contributing to a more sustainable, innovative, fair, and transparent world. That's why we have incorporated ESG principles into our culture and aligned them with our values. Over the years we have carried out various initiatives within the scope of the ESG, thus making an important contribution to our society.
Environment
Our goal is to reduce climate change effects by adopting methodologies for the rational use of resources and disseminating them among employees, seeking to minimize negative environmental impacts (reducing emissions, waste production and energy and water consumption).
We are aware, as an active member of society in the countries where we operate, of our responsibility to contribute to public policy by sharing our technical and consumer insight, our vision, and our perspectives.
Social
Playing an active role in our community carries a great responsibility. We seek to support key initiatives led by host communities and select suppliers, as well as recruit new people within the community. We encourage employee participation in community support actions and in volunteering projects.
As one of Colquimica Adhesive’s fields of action, Social Responsibility plays an important part of the Group’s activity plan. Throughout the years we have been supporting several causes within the three local communities of our facilities. We embrace our role in continuously helping people and organizations of our surrounding communities.
Governance
We are guided by the principles of ethics and transparency to create lasting relationships with our employees, customers and other stakeholders. We believe that our values are fundamental to our sustainable economic growth.
As one of Colquimica Adhesives' fields of action by an ethical and compliant culture that promotes the protection of the environment, the conservation of resources, the respect for human and worker rights, the improvement of social conditions and the empowerment of individuals.
Our goal is to reduce the carbon emissions within the Scope 1 and 2 by 50% until 2030.
We defined a target particularly related with the Challenge “Carbonic Neutrality”, being 2020 the baseline year.

We were honored to be distinguished with the “Lean Green Value Stream Mapping and Glue Waste Generation Reduction” award, from the International Academy for Quality, being the first ever Portuguese company to participate.
